On Sunday we pay tribute to our beloved but (arguably) obsolete media on which we used to watch our films back in the days! And still often do, because we happen to be passionate about them. Do you want to know why? Find out during our special celebration of VHS and celluloid on the last day of this yearโs festival.

Our celluloid day in Chassรฉ is hosted by Davy Bielen (a.k.a. Hexagore), who has dug up the 16mm prints of โThe House by the Cemeteryโ and โNightmare Cityโ from his basement. The 35mm of โDeadly Weaponsโ is made possible by our friends from Filmhuis Cavia in Amsterdam. The state of the prints have not yet been tested before publication of this booklet, hence the selected titles are subject to possible change in case it turns out that they are properly fucked.

Plunged in a twisted retro-futuristic universe, VHS From Space takes you on a journey through 90s alternative rock, topped with a pinch of cosmic psychedelism. Armed with onstage immersive blacklight visuals, triggering shamanic thrills and unconscious headbanging, this Brussels-based four-piece will invite you to join its ultimate goal: to conquer the universe.

The closing act this year is Frenky von Haze! He plays his vintage 80s keyboard and sings about dicks, tits and a lot of other pussy stuff. You might recognize Frenky from the band Frenky and the Freaks. You know; that crazy band that competed on Holland's Got Talent with that dinosaur on glockenspiel and that pigeon on accordion. You may also know him from his rather daring Christmas hit played on the radio by Giel Beelen. Maybe you know him from his absurdist video clips that were immediately picked up by Dumpert and went viral throughout the Netherlands. Or you know him because you ran into him somewhere at a festival when you were standing at an afterparty where Frenky played his music or woke up to his breakfast show. It could also be that you know him as a style icon because you saw him walking somewhere in his panther outfit or you were impressed by his dessinated panther keyboard cart. Of course, it could also be that you don't know him at all ... And you don't want to know him at all .... Well... but if you like crazy, dirty, weird, crazy, vague, slimy but still original pussy songs played ร la Mambo Kurt on a vintage keyboard in a panther outfit, I would go and see a show by Frenky von Haze!
